Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Florence, Alabama. This role involves providing care in a dedicated labor and delivery unit with a focus on maternal and fetal health. The position offers a night shift schedule and guarantees a minimum of 36 hours per week, with structured orientation and scheduled block shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and delivery, certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or ALS-Obstetric (ALS-OB), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with postpartum care and fetal monitoring assessment, emergency response, and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Additional Information:
  • Unit is a dedicated Labor and Delivery ward with 9 beds and a patient ratio of 1:1
  • Skills required include fetal monitoring, emergency response, postpartum care, and time management
  • Must demonstrate adaptability, team play, attention to detail, stamina, effective communication, and empathy
  • The role involves working on a labor and delivery unit with a focus on normal spontaneous labor, preterm labor, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, placental abruption, fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, and postpartum hemorrhage
