Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Scranton, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing specialized patient care in a 20-bed ICU setting, requiring a dedicated healthcare professional to work day shifts. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to critical care with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.

Job Details:

• Shift Time: Days, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, with every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); a minimum of 2 years ICU experience; Cerner experience preferred; open heart surgery experience preferred; Impella experience preferred; valid licensure to practice as an RN in Pennsylvania; ability to review clinicians with pending state license; minimum 0 years of experience required for the role
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart surgery, Impella devices, and Cerner electronic medical records system
• Additional Information: The unit has a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1, with a surge capacity of 3:1. The ICU is equipped with 20 beds. Scrub color is navy. No call shift is required. The facility does not offer 48-hour guarantees or blocked scheduling. The maximum request for time off is 3 days. The reason for this opening is contractor replacement.
