Description
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse specializing in Step Down Unit located in New York is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with organizational nursing standards. This role involves assessing patient needs, implementing evidence-based practices, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during their recovery period.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other week, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active New York State Registered Nurse license; BLS certification; two (2) years of cardiology, telemetry, or VAD management experience; minimum two (2) years of registered nursing experience; one (1) year of travel experience for travel positions; associate degree in nursing or active matriculation in a BSN program.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing; EPIC experience.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include medication management, patient education, interdisciplinary collaboration, evidence-based practice implementation, and quality improvement initiatives. The role emphasizes safety, clinical skills, and patient experience enhancement through therapeutic relationships and effective communication.
