Job Summary:
The Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, competent, high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. This role involves utilizing nursing theory and research to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions for a designated patient population on a medical-surgical and telemetry unit. The position requires engaging with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Position: Telemetry Nurse
- Location: New York, NY
- Start Date: 08/31/2026
- Schedule: Night shift, 11.5 hours per shift, minimum of 34.5 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: NYS Registered Nurse License; BLS; ACLS; 2 years telemedicine and critical care experience; minimum 2 years RN experience; 1 year travel nursing experience (not required for Per Diem positions); EPIC experience highly preferred; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred or Associate degree with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program; advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification.
- Additional Information: The nurse will perform charge nurse duties as assigned, coordinate supplies and equipment, facilitate patient throughput, and support a safe and efficient environment. The role emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education, and engagement in quality improvement initiatives.
