Description
Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery department in Wyoming is seeking qualified registered nurses to perform patient care duties related to obstetric and postpartum services. This position involves hands-on clinical care, assisting with deliveries, post-delivery neonatal assessments, and collaborating across disciplines to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role requires providing compassionate support to patients and their families during the labor and delivery process.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Wyoming Registered Nurse (RN) license or RN compact license, 2 years recent experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, or Level 1 Nursery units. Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN, all issued through the American Heart Association.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in OB/GYN patient care, including post-operative hysterectomy, antepartum, triage, labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
- Additional Information: This role may require floating to other units based on facility census, primarily to assist as help or sitter. The candidate must have neonatal and fetal monitoring certification, including attendance at certification classes every two years, and should be familiar with policies for surgical patient recovery and care. The start date for this assignment is 08/17/2026.
