Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse Alexandria, Virginia. This position involves providing expert nursing care in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department setting. The role requires managing a diverse caseload including high-acuity patients such as STEMI, stroke, and trauma cases, with experience in both adult and pediatric populations. Candidates must be adaptable to a mixed patient environment and flexible with shift hours.

Job Details

Position: Emergency Room Nurse (ER)
Location: Alexandria, Virginia
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, starting from 08/24/2026, with flexibility to work both 3p-3a and 7a-7p shifts, including every other weekend. May be required to float to Springfield Healthplex location.
Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; at least 2 years of ER experience; experience with both adult and pediatric patients; ability to manage routine vasopressors, insulin, and sedation; familiarity with common diagnoses such as STEMI, stroke, sprains, and sutures.
Preferred Qualifications: TNCC certification.
Shift Expectations: 7a-7p, 3p-3a with flexibility.
Float: Float rotation may be required to Springfield Healthplex location.
On-call Expectations: None specified.
Holiday Expectations: Coverage on July 4th (day and evening).
