Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) specialty position is located at a healthcare facility in Salem, Virginia. The role involves working on a daily shift schedule in a dedicated CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) unit equipped with Meditech electronic medical records. This position requires collaboration within a team of six staff members on the 2nd floor of the main building, providing anesthesia services for various cardiovascular procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Nursing, valid registered nurse license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience, and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Scrubbing experience for procedures such as CABG, thoracotomy, endarterectomy, AAA repair, valve replacements, and pacemaker insertions.
• Responsibilities: Provide anesthesia management for cardiovascular surgeries, collaborate with surgical teams, and ensure patient safety before, during, and after procedures.
• Additional Information: The candidate must have a flexible, knowledgeable, and self-starting personality. The unit operates with patient ratios of 1:1, supports weekday, weekend, and holiday call, and utilizes scrub attire in light blue, which will be provided.
