Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse opportunity located in Georgetown, Texas. This contract position offers a dynamic environment within a well-balanced nursing staff, emphasizing teamwork and community-focused care. The role involves providing high-quality emergency nursing services in a Level IV Trauma Center, with opportunities for professional growth and community engagement.
Job Details:
- Position Requirements: Certifications required include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026.
- Unit Information:
- Location: Georgetown, Texas
- Facility Department Number: 78067
- Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Number of Beds: 23
- Staffing: Day, Mid, and Night shifts with fluctuating staffing levels based on patient volume
- Patient Ratios: 4:1
- Equipment: Welch Allyn, GE Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Call Requirements: None
- Weekends: Four weekend shifts per schedule
- Additional Information:
- The ED team is comprised of a mix of experienced staff, including newly graduated nurses and staff with over 30 years of commitment.
- The unit supports a close-knit, small-town hospital culture while embracing community growth.
- Support staff includes Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) and dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNCs), with self-scheduling contributing to staff satisfaction.
- The department has received awards such as the ICARE Award and recognition as a Level IV Trauma Center and Certified Primary Stroke Center.
- The team collaborates closely with providers and participates regularly in unit-based council meetings.
