Job Summary
A Step Down Unit Nurse is being sought for an assignment in Waco, Texas. The role involves providing specialized care on a 30-bed step-down unit that floats between critical care service lines. The position requires delivering patient care aligned with unit protocols, including managing patients with various medical conditions such as post-CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA repair, lobectomy, CEA, and cases involving NSTEMI, STEMI, ACS, sepsis, GIB, post-DKA, respiratory failure, and arrhythmias.
Job Details
- Shift: Days
- Schedule: Shift time is 10 hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), recent clinical experience in step-down or critical care settings, Texas state license valid for practice in the United States, and a minimum of 0 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with HFNC, BIPAP, stable GTT management, and vascular procedures such as AAA repair, lobectomy, and carotid endarterectomy (CEA).
- Additional Information: The unit is a 30-bed step-down care area, and float rotation between critical care service lines may be required to meet staffing needs.
