Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Spokane, Washington. This position involves providing specialized care to patients in the Labor and Delivery department within a Level II Trauma Center. The role includes working night shifts with a schedule of 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 48 hours per week, and involves supporting expectant mothers through various high-risk obstetric procedures and emergencies.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license preferred), at least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery or related high-risk obstetric care, familiarity with patient ratios of 1:2 during labor and 1:3 during postpartum, experience with electronic charting systems (such as Epic), and strong knowledge of labor management protocols including antepartum, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, and maternal emergencies.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, previous experience with high-risk obstetric cases, familiarity with acute care protocols, and interdisciplinary team support.
  • Additional Information: This role involves floating between units as needed, supporting interdisciplinary teams, and managing a diverse patient population with complex obstetric needs. The position requires commitment to working 3 of the 5 major holidays and submitting all scheduling requests upfront during submission. Orientation hours and compliance with module completion are part of the onboarding process. Candidates must respond to qualifying questions regarding prior experience at similar facilities, and references covering the last 3 years are required.
