Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in San Francisco, California. This role involves providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical environment. The OR nurse will be responsible for patient assessment, preparation, and assisting in various surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout the surgical process.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 4 x 10 Days shifts, starting at 0600 with no on-call requirements, totaling a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA), 0 years of experience required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous perioperative or operating room experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Valid CA RN license and current AHA BLS certification.
  • Patient Age Groups: Adults.
  • Daily Census: 75 patients.
  • Number of Rooms: 37.
  • Number of Beds: 37.
  • Additional Unit Information: Support from interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and a unit secretary.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of operating room perioperative nursing experience is preferred.
  • Compliance Requirements: Must complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing. 7-year work history verification required. All compliance documents are due 10 days prior to the start date.
  • Submittal Requirements: Upload valid CA RN licensure, applicable certifications, and 2 references obtained within the last year. No separation time required for return staff or travelers.
