Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Portland, Oregon. This role involves providing specialized maternal and neonatal care in a short-term acute care facility. The RN will float between units including labor, mother-baby, and antepartum, supporting high-risk deliveries and postpartum care, with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience, Oregon RN license or pending license, BLS (Basic Life Support), AWHONN Intermediate certification, and minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in labor and delivery or related units
  • Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate*, BLS, NRN (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Additional Qualifications: Must have a vehicle for this assignment. Previous experience with Epic charting system required. Experience with high-risk deliveries, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care preferred.
  • Special Requirements: Will be required to float between units based on unit needs; Must work 3 of the 5 holidays; Must commit to scheduled RTO requests upfront; Refusal to float may lead to contract termination.
  • Patient Care Details: Caring for women of childbearing age and newborns, with a daily census of approximately 200 births per month. Providing fetal monitoring, labor support, postpartum care, and neonatal resuscitation.
  • Additional Information: Floating between multiple facilities within the Portland area, including support services such as respiratory, radiology, and pharmacy. The assignment begins on 08/17/2026, with required orientation hours and specific scheduling commitments.
