Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Medical nurse position located in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The role involves providing specialized critical care within a 16-bed ICU setting, supporting patients with complex diagnoses such as respiratory, stroke, neuro, gastrointestinal, and cardiac conditions. The position requires clinical expertise in managing various ICU drips and rhythm interpretation.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour variable day/night shifts, with every other weekend and holiday required.
• Required Qualifications: Licensure to submit, American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, and a minimum of 2 years ICU experience. Candidates must have Cerner electronic medical record experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in ICU settings managing titratable drips such as propofol, precedex, vasopressors, vent management including vents, BiPAP/CPAP, vapotherm, trachs, nitric oxide, and rhythm interpretation proficiency.
• Floating: Agency staff may float to related units or serve as patient observers within the hospital.
• Additional Information: The unit is supported by a nurse aid team with a 1:2 or 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity. The ICU is staffed by pulmonologists, with residents during the day and one team at night. RTs (Respiratory Therapists) provide 24/7 support with all necessary equipment. Orientation includes a one-day hospital orientation and two days specific to the ICU. The location is accessible to candidates within 80 miles, with client rates reduced accordingly.
