Description

Job Summary:
Telemetry Medical Surgical Float registered nurse position in Centennial, Colorado. This role involves providing patient care across multiple units within a large healthcare organization, including General Medical-Surgical, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Renal, and other specialties. The RN will operate in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations, utilizing advanced clinical skills and certifications.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS certification; 2 years of telemetry medical surgical experience; Colorado licensed RN or valid multi-state license; no minimum years of experience required if experience is attained.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior neuro experience.
  • Schedule: Shift times are nights; schedules are released 4 to 6 weeks in advance and may follow single facility or just-in-time assignment formats.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required throughout Zone 1 covering multiple facilities around Colorado Springs area including Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More. Nurses are expected to float within the designated zone and may be asked to float outside their assigned facility to sister facilities as needed.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be in the state during the week of orientation, even if modules are remote. No home base facility; must reside at least 60 miles from each facility within Zone 1. Units include various acuity levels such as ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and medical-surgical units, including adult and geriatric patient populations. All time off requests should be submitted before starting the assignment.
