Job Summary:
Psychiatric Nurse specializing in behavioral health is needed for a facility located in West Valley City, Utah. This position involves working in an inpatient adult behavioral health department, providing care to a predominantly geriatric patient population. The role requires adherence to facility protocols and collaborative patient management on a 12-hour night shift schedule.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with minimum hours per week of 36.0
• Start Date: 08/17/2026
• Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association) certification; active license to submit; minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing; location within Utah preferred.
• Patient Population: Adults aged 55 and older, including dementia and bipolar disorder diagnoses.
• Unit Notes: Facility has a 26-bed inpatient adult behavioral health unit with patient ratios of 1:06. Seclusion room available, but not staffed for 1:1 care.
• Additional Information: Clinicians must be in the state during the week of orientation; self-scheduling and block scheduling are permitted. The hospital permits cancellation of up to four shifts during a 13-week assignment and three shifts for shorter assignments. Charting is completed in the EPIC system.
• Trauma Level: Not specified.
• Shift Notes: 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., every other weekend required.
