Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) specialty position is based in McAllen, Texas. This role involves supporting the electrophysiology and diagnostic monitoring departments in a high-acuity environment. The clinical responsibilities include assisting with electrophysiology studies, pacemaker implantations, and other cardiac interventions, following current licensure and regulatory requirements.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved registered nursing program
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Recent acute care experience in a cardiac electrophysiology or cath lab setting
  • Minimum one year monitoring diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology studies experience
  • Knowledge of micropace is helpful
  • Willingness to educate staff at the facility
  • Ability to live at least 50 miles away from the facility location
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Additional Information:
  • Call requirements involve one day during the week and one weekend per month, starting Friday at 3:30 pm and ending Monday at 6:30 am.
  • The role supports emergency and elective angioplasty, drug-eluting stents, electrophysiology, and pacemaker procedures.
  • Responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in accordance with current standards and regulations.
