Job Summary:
Emergency Room nurse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a Level IV Trauma Center within a busy hospital setting. The role requires handling a diverse patient population from neonates to geriatrics, with a focus on acute trauma, cardiac emergencies, and mental health cases. The ER nurse will work evening shifts in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and effective patient assessments and interventions.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC. Candidates must have 3 years of emergency department experience in a fast-paced facility. Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, critical care drips and medication administration, TPA administration, blood administration, procedural sedation, and code blue procedures is required. Triage experience is strongly preferred.
• Additional Information: The position involves supporting the unit with a 24/7 ED Tech team capable of blood draws and glucose checks, possible involvement in trauma blood cultures and difficult sticks, and availability to assist with blood cultures. The role includes working with a multidisciplinary team of ED physicians, mid-level providers, and support staff. Orientation consists of a 12-hour shift on unit. No float rotation is expected. Scrub color is flexible, and free parking is provided in designated areas.
