Description

Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare facility in Reno, Nevada. This position involves providing high-quality patient care within a busy, fast-paced environment that serves a wide geographic area. The RN will be responsible for nursing assessments, care planning, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes for adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Job Details:

  • Location: 10101 Double R Blvd, Reno, NV 89521
  • Schedule: 3x12 Night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience. Candidate must pass a telemetry competency exam, including identification and measurement of rhythm strips; failure to pass will result in contract termination.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with treatment of CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI (Non-ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction), sepsis, dysrhythmias, PNA (Pneumonia), COPD, Covid, post-procedure care including pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and open-heart surgery patients. Ability to float to ICU and medical-surgical units as needed.
  • Additional Information: Travelers may be required to float to various units based on organizational needs, up to their competency level. May work major holidays and an additional shift during the schedule period. The organization reserves the right to call off shifts without penalty with a 48-hour notice, which may include full or partial shifts.
