Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular in Salt Lake City, Utah, is responsible for providing advanced patient care in a 24-bed ICU unit. The role requires ensuring high-quality clinical support for complex cardiac and general critical care patients, adhering to established protocols and documentation standards.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
  • Schedule: Straight nights with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Must have a Utah Registered Nurse license at the time of submission. The candidate should possess at least 2 years of ICU experience, or 1 year of strong ICU experience with a focus on cardiac nursing. Experience with procedures such as rapid sequence intubations, central line placements, ventilator management, vasopressor administration, arterial lines, chest tube placement, and bronchoscopy is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Cardiac Nurse experience, outgoing personality, team player attitude
  • Additional Information: The unit offers a staffing ratio of 1:2 (or 1:3 for pneumology unit boarders, and 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity cases such as intra-aortic balloon pump, continuous renal replacement therapy, or open-heart surgery). The documentation system used is EPIC. The unit allows floating to PCU or as a sitter anywhere in the hospital inpatient setting, with a policy of three weekend shifts within a four-week period.
