Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in Englewood, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care in a busy surgical unit with a focus on neuro, cardiovascular, and general surgery procedures. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team supporting a 14-station OR with a diverse case mix, including angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and orthopedic/spine surgeries.

Job Details:

Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have current hospital acute care experience with a minimum of 1-year. Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications must be included in the submission packet. No time off or special scheduling requests permitted.
Preferred Qualifications: Circulating and scrubbing experience in the OR, Meditech EMR experience.
Unit Information:
- Location: Englewood, Colorado
- Address: 501 E Hampden Ave, Englewood, CO 80113
- Facility: 408-bed hospital with 14 ORs, including hybrid cardiovascular and cystoscopy suites, with a staff of 60 full-time equivalents.
- Staffing includes OR RNs, CSTs, PCTs, anesthesia techs, and leadership staff.
- Typical patient-to-staff ratio: 1:1.
- Equipment includes standard OR tools and Stryker video systems.
- EMR system: Meditech.
Additional Information:
- Role requires on-call coverage from 5 PM to 7 PM one day per week and once every six weeks for weekend on-call if certain specialists are on-call.
- On-call and weekend coverage are essential responsibilities.
- Position creation is part of peak period staffing needs.
