Description

Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a high-acuity pediatric intensive care environment. The ideal candidate will work within a level II trauma unit, supporting patient care protocols and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details:

Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Current acute care hospital PICU RN experience, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). No minimum years of experience specified.
Preferred Qualifications: CRRT experience, Pediatric Teaching Hospital experience, experience with blood draws, IV starts, TPT placements, and Advanced Pediatric Nursing certifications.
Unit Information: Level II trauma pediatric intensive care unit with 15 beds and 38 staff members, including day and night shift intensivists and nurses, with patient ratios of 2:1.
Clinical Responsibilities: Blood draws, IV starts, TPT placements, blood transfusions, and management of critically ill pediatric patients.
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 48 hours per week starting 07/27/2026.
