Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN), located in Johnson City, New York, provides specialized nursing care in surgical settings. The role involves supporting a high volume of cardiothoracic procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, VATS, and robotic chest surgeries. The RN is responsible for ensuring patient safety, administering medications, and integrating current evidence into practice, all while adhering to regulatory standards and institutional policies.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift rotation (Monday through Friday), 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 08/17/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Current New York State Registered Nurse License; BLS Certification (American Heart Association, HSI, or American Red Cross); six (6) months to three (3) years of RN experience; excellent collaboration, communication (verbal and written), judgment/critical thinking, organizational understanding, planning, problem solving, quality, reliability, safety, and risk management skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting; CCRN certification; relevant skills certification such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC.
• Additional Information: The role includes supporting a clinical team in a high-acuity cardiac surgical environment, participating in the Clinical Ladder Program as skills develop, and performing duties as assigned related to the OR. Call shifts may be required, with up to 3 shifts of call per week ranging from 8 to 16 hours, including one weekend per 4 weeks.
