Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse position in Rock Island, Illinois. This role involves providing care as part of an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical environment. The position offers an opportunity to float within the same discipline across local campuses, supporting patient care for surgical and post-operative cases.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical, Post-Operative, or Stepdown units; BLS (AHA) certification; State licenses for Illinois and Iowa; drivers license; work history/resume; skills checklist completed within 1 year; license verification; copy of certifications; supervisory reference at time of submission; minimum of 1 travel contract completed preferred; must have taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility, unless in Madison where a local candidate with a 10% rate reduction is accepted
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for 5-7 patients; knowledge of nurse-patient ratios
• Additional Information:
  • Shift start date: 08/10/2026
  • Notes include: proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system, holiday pay at 1.15x multiplier, callback pay at 1.5x minimum for 2 hours, on-call pay at $9/hour, charge/precept pay at $6/hour, OT is billable after 40 hours/week, with 36-40 hours/week scheduled.
  • Orientation sessions are scheduled on multiple dates throughout the year starting in January 2026.
