Job Summary:
Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) in Johnson City, New York. This position involves assisting in surgical procedures within the operating room environment, ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained, and supporting the surgical team to provide safe and efficient patient care. The role requires active participation in surgical activities and adherence to infection control policies.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST); BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross); up to 1 year of experience preferred, but no minimum experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous operating room experience; prior surgical technologist experience.
• Additional Information: The role involves assisting surgeons with gowning, gloving, draping, passing instruments, and maintaining an organized operative field. Candidates will support rapid turnaround of the operating room between cases and may be assigned to call shifts including weekends. Responsibilities also include handling specimens, maintaining surgical supplies, and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
