Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse Night Shift located in the organizations cardiac unit. This role involves providing specialized care for adult medical cardiology, cardiac and thoracic surgery patients requiring telemetry monitoring, temporary cardiac pacing, vasoactive, and anticoagulant medication infusions. The position offers an opportunity to work in a highly certified, multidisciplinary team environment dedicated to excellence in cardiac patient care.
Job Details
- Position Description: Medical Surgical Cardiology Unit (4 RCP) provides care for adult patients requiring telemetry, with certifications including care for patients with ventricular assist devices (VAD), heart transplantation, coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacements, and transcatheter aortic valve replacements. The unit also manages patients with cardiomyopathy, pulmonary hypertension, chest pain, and arrhythmia management.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), similar to a degree in nursing, with 2 years of experience in a large level 1 or level 2 trauma care setting. Experience in a Medical Surgical Cardiology Unit preferred.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The candidate must have large level 1 or large level 2 trauma experience and be available to start between September 28, 2026, and the end of October 2026.
