Job Summary
Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse in Rock Island, Illinois. This position involves providing patient care within the specialty of medical-surgical with telemetry, working with a multidisciplinary team. The role requires flexibility to float across local campuses and adherence to clinical standards, including ACLS and BLS certification. First-time travelers are welcomed, with experience in medical-surgical and cardiac stepdown units preferred.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Drivers License, current BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association) certifications, Illinois or Iowa state license, at least 2 years of Med Surg experience, skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission, valid license verification, copy of relevant certifications, and references (one supervisory) at time of submission
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in stepdown or cardiac units; float experience within the same discipline
• Float: Float rotation may be required across local campuses
• Additional Information: Travelers must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility; local candidates in Madison are accepted with a 10% rate reduction. The position involves working with a patient ratio of 1:5-6 on days and 1:6-7 on nights, with responsibilities including patient management and adherence to hospital protocols.
