Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position in Rock Island, Illinois. The role involves providing high-quality patient care within an interdisciplinary team, with opportunities to float within the same discipline across local campuses. The assignment is scheduled to start on 08/24/2026, with a typical shift lasting 12 hours.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 08/24/2026
• Required Qualifications: One year of clinical experience in a hospital setting, Illinois state license, Iowa state license on offer, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), work history/resume, skills checklist completed within 1 year, license verification, copy of current certifications, supervisory reference at time of submission, drivers license, at least 2 years of experience, one previous travel contract preferred, taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility (except in Madison, where local with a 10% rate reduction accepted).
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a level 3 trauma center, experience with chest tubes, femostops, trachs, central lines, drains, and medication titration such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban.
• Additional Information: The patient ratio for this unit has historically been 1:7, and filling vacancies through travel staff aims to reduce this ratio. The role requires working 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). The orientation schedule includes multiple sessions throughout the year.
