Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a registered nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) at a facility near Quincy, Illinois. This night position requires an Illinois nursing license, ACLS, and BLS certifications. The role involves caring for patient populations including post-PCI, post-bypass surgery, and congestive heart failure cases, with preferred experience in pulling sheaths and continuous renal replacement therapy. The position offers a challenging clinical environment with a focus on cardiovascular critical care.
Job Details:
- Location: Quincy, Illinois
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a blocked weekend schedule, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/17/2026
- Required Qualifications: Illinois nursing license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience pulling sheaths, CRRT highly preferred, level 2 trauma experience or above
- Additional Information:
- Attention: 4 hours of billable computer modules are required 7 am the Friday prior to start, with modules delivered Monday-Tuesday of the week prior.
- Patient population includes post PCI, post bypass, and CHF patients.
- RNs are required to titrate drips and interpret strips on tele monitors, which are monitored by a tele monitor technician.
- RT in ICU 24/7; assigned to ICU/PCU with equipment such as vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc.
- No BSN required for this role.
- Charting system used is Allscripts.
