Job Summary
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Somerset, Kentucky. This role involves providing specialized adult and geriatric patient care within a state-of-the-art, 12-bed ICU focusing on cardiac and critical care. The position offers a weekly scheduled shift of 12 hours, with guaranteed hours and rotating weekends. It requires candidates to have recent cardiac ICU experience and relevant certifications prior to start.

Job Details

• Location: Somerset, KY 42503
• Schedule: Dayshift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, at least 2+ years of cardiac ICU experience, proficient in rhythm interpretation, able to assist with bedside procedures, drips, and vents
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing STEMI, N-STEMI, PE, cardiogenic shock, post cath patient populations
• Unit Information: 12 beds, patient ratios of 2:1 up to 4:1 depending on acuity, equipped with vents, swan-ganz catheters, balloon pumps, art lines, and CRRT equipment
• Additional Notes: Candidates must be willing to float to other areas based on census. Attire includes royal blue scrubs; open-toed shoes, jeans, sports clothing, spandex, and certain piercings are not permitted. This position is a replacement for permanent staff.
