Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Cardiac and Pulmonary Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves caring for high-acuity adult patients, including those requiring ventilator support and dysrhythmia management. The RN will work nights in a dedicated unit focused on cardiovascular and pulmonary patient populations, with an emphasis on high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license, 2 years of nursing experience, BLS certification, experience in Intermediate Care (IMC), ventilator experience, dysrhythmia management, proficiency in EPIC electronic health records, ACLS certification
- Preferred Qualifications: Critical Care Certification, trauma course, orientation scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
- Float: Float rotation may be required to cover PCU, IMC, and Medical Surgical units as needed
- Additional Information:
- Applicants with previous employment in any Johns Hopkins health system facility must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler.
- Candidates must have at least one previous travel assignment or staff position in similar high-acuity environments.
- Experience with vent management and high-acuity adult patient care is essential for success in this role.
