Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility located in Reston, Virginia. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a busy ER environment, requiring clinical expertise and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. The position is scheduled for night shifts, with a start date of September 7, 2026.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active compact registered nurse license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), advanced certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), at least 2 years of experience in a hospital emergency department setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Critical Care Emergency Nurse (CCEN) certification
- Additional Information: Unit handles approximately 34-44,000 visits annually with a staff of 78 members. Typical procedures include stroke protocol, sepsis protocol, trauma protocol, triage, IV initiation, and moderate sedation. The team works with equipment such as EKG, Lucas, cardiac monitors, Dynamap, point-of-care testing, and IStat EMR on Meditech. Candidate personality fit includes being positive, outgoing, hardworking, and team-oriented. Dress code is navy blue scrubs.
