Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves providing acute emergency care in a busy, state-of-the-art emergency department with a wide variety of patient cases, including trauma, stroke, respiratory illnesses, behavioral health, and cardiac emergencies. The position requires a dedicated and skilled professional to deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population spanning pediatric to geriatric ages.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
  • Preferred Qualifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • Float: Float rotation may be required within designated regions and facilities, including Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, and various freestanding emergency departments within the region; floating mid-shift will be compensated for travel time.
  • Additional Information:
    • Minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience required
    • Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, critical care drips, PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, and conscious sedation preferred
    • The department supports a comprehensive team including ED physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, social workers, pharmacists, and unit support staff
    • Utilizes EPIC electronic medical records, Alaris infusion pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors, and other advanced emergency department technology
    • Orientation time: 2 days dedicated departmental orientation
    • Scrub color: Navy Blue
    • Parking: Free
