Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves providing acute emergency care in a busy, state-of-the-art emergency department with a wide variety of patient cases, including trauma, stroke, respiratory illnesses, behavioral health, and cardiac emergencies. The position requires a dedicated and skilled professional to deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population spanning pediatric to geriatric ages.

Job Details:

Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
Preferred Qualifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Float: Float rotation may be required within designated regions and facilities, including Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, and various freestanding emergency departments within the region; floating mid-shift will be compensated for travel time.
Additional Information:
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience required
- Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, critical care drips, PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, and conscious sedation preferred
- The department supports a comprehensive team including ED physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, social workers, pharmacists, and unit support staff
- Utilizes EPIC electronic medical records, Alaris infusion pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors, and other advanced emergency department technology
- Orientation time: 2 days dedicated departmental orientation
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
