Job Summary:
Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) in Johnson City, New York. This role involves supporting surgical teams by maintaining sterile technique and assisting during operative procedures. The technician will ensure a safe, organized, and efficient operating room environment while actively participating in patient safety and care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evening shifts, 8 hours each, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Call hours are 11:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., typically 1 to 2 shifts per week.
• Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; NBSTSA - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous operating room experience; prior surgical technologist experience.
• Responsibilities include following infection control policies, assisting surgeons with gowning, gloving, draping, passing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, managing supplies, and supporting OR turnover.
• The role involves working under general supervision in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting surgeons with suturing, retracting, and specimen handling as needed.
• The technician will be required to take rotating call duty, supporting the surgical team beyond scheduled hours.
