Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Lynchburg, Virginia. This position involves night shifts on a 12-hour schedule at a busy teaching hospital. The role requires providing patient care on the surgical unit, with orientation sessions conducted every other Monday and unit-specific operational requirements.

• Schedule: Night shifts, minimum 48 hours per week, with orientation every other Monday
• Required Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years of experience in a relevant specialty
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
  • Valid active VA (Virginia) or Compact nursing license at the time of submission
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Experience in a teaching hospital and charge nurse responsibilities preferred
• Additional Information:
  • Orientation sessions are held every other Monday; assignments end on Saturday
  • Candidates must include all required RTO (Requested Time Off) details in the submission packet
  • Limitations on time off requests may apply; the client can cancel assignments up to 36 hours prior due to census fluctuations
  • All team members are expected to contribute to a supportive culture, especially when interacting with students and new hires
  • Travel is required for this assignment; float rotation is not required
