Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position is located in Pleasanton, California. This role involves providing specialized, evidence-based nursing care within the scope of practice governed by state and regulatory standards. The ICU nurse will assess patient conditions, collaborate with the healthcare team to develop care plans, and deliver holistic, family-centered care to critically ill patients.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (CA-RN) license, current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred, at least 1 year of nursing experience in a critical care or ICU setting, able to communicate effectively in English
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an ICU environment, additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Additional Information: The ICU nurse will create a healing environment through patient and family engagement, identify and manage patient discomforts, and provide emotional support and education. The role requires rapid assessment, emergency response activation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Nursing staff are encouraged to participate in ongoing education and professional development activities to maintain current practice standards.
