Job Summary:
The facility seeking a wound care specialist is recruiting for a registered nurse position in New York. This role involves conducting health assessments focused on wound, ostomy, and continence-related care. The nurse will develop care plans, evaluate tissue responses, collaborate with the healthcare team, and provide patient and staff education to ensure optimal outcomes for patients with complex wound conditions.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: This position involves working four days a week, with each shift lasting 9 hours, totaling a minimum of 36 hours weekly.
  • Required Qualifications: Associates Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited nursing program; New York State RN License with primary source verification; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current certification in one of the following: Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN), Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON), Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN), Certified Wound Specialist (CWS), or Wound Care Certified (WCC).
  • Preferred Qualifications: N/A
  • Skills: MED/SURG NURSING, WOUND CARE, COLOSTOMY CARE, PATIENT ASSESSMENT, CARE PLANNING
  • Additional Skills: ASSET MANAGEMENT, PATIENT EDUCATION, STAFF EDUCATION, QUALITY IMPROVEMENT, CULTURAL COMPETENCE
  • Experience: Minimum of 0 years of experience in wound care preferred.
