Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Bryan, TX. This position involves circulating in all specialties within the unit, utilizing advanced robotic technology such as the Mako and DaVinci robots, and providing care for diverse surgical procedures including cardiovascular, neuro, orthopedic, and general cases. The role requires flexibility to float between campuses and support after-hours call needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with call evenings and weekends; standard response time of 30 minutes. On call one evening per week (3 PM to 7 AM) and two weekends per month (7 AM to 7 AM).
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), Basic Life Support (BLS) from the AHA; at least 5 years of hospital or related experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotic surgical systems, including the Mako robot for orthopedic procedures and the DaVinci robot for laparoscopic surgeries; ability to circulate CABG cases, experience with neuro and ortho trauma, and familiarity with cardiothoracic, neuro, orthopedic, and general surgery procedures.
• Additional Information: Candidates must circulate in all specialties, including cardiovascular, neuro, orthopedic, general, eye, endoscopy, and cystoscopy procedures. The facility utilizes MEDITECH charting system. The role involves possible precepting duties and a requirement to comply with a cancellation policy allowing up to four shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment.
