This Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) position involves assisting the surgical team in preparing and supporting operative procedures within a facility that offers a variety of specialty services including orthopedic, gynecology, and general surgery. The role requires technical skills to maintain sterile fields, handle instruments, and support patient transport and facility cleanliness.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts with 4 days of 10 hours each, starting at 6:30 or 8:30. No set days of the week. Call duty includes one night per week and one weekend per month.
• Required Qualifications: High School Education or GED; two years of experience in orthopedics, totals, gynecology, and general surgery; Surgical Technician certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; facility-specific BLS certification.
• Essential Functions: Preparing supplies and equipment for surgical cases, assembling sterile fields, reviewing equipment inventory, setting up operative instrumentation and sterile fields, performing instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with the registered nurse, labeling solutions, maintaining aseptic technique, transporting patients, providing clerical support, and performing housekeeping duties.
• Organizational Requirements: All associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment and comply with safety policies.
