Description

Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) nurse position is located in Fargo, North Dakota. This role involves providing specialized circulating nursing care within a busy surgical unit, supporting a variety of surgical procedures including neuro, ortho, general, gynecology, and urology cases. The position supports a team working in a 25 OR suite environment, with an emphasis on versatility and adherence to high standards of patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Evening shifts, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Typically, shifts run from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with possible extensions of up to 10 hours and rotating to the post-meridiem shift.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license (ND or Compact), BLS certification, at least 2 years of recent OR experience with large hospital settings (250+ beds), including neuro and ortho procedures with navigation experience, and familiarity with electronic charting systems similar to EPIC. Experience working with robotics, particularly DaVinci, is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro, ortho, navigation, and robotic surgical procedures, particularly using DaVinci systems.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must have recent experience in acute care surgical environments, including sterile prep, patient positioning, documentation, and operating room equipment setup. Floats to other units or campuses may be required, with occasional late stays. Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility and wear scrub color provided (Ceil Blue). Travel restrictions apply: candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible; those within 60-80 miles will have a reduced local travel rate. Previous employment with Sanford Health requires an end date at least 6 months prior to application.
