Description
Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Nurse Practitioner position in ROCKFORD, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization lab setting, focusing on complex procedures such as coronary angiography, percutaneous interventions, and electrophysiology studies. The role requires a dedicated professional with experience supporting cardiac and neuro-interventional procedures, working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts, with one rotating day off each week. Rotating weekday and weekend call coverage outside of normal hours; call hours include any hours outside of Monday to Friday, 07:00-16:30, with 24-hour call shifts on Saturday and Sunday.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois RN license or proof of application, minimum of 2 years recent Cath Lab RN experience, STEMI experience required; IR and Neuro IR experience preferred. Certifications include BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic, Change Healthcare (formerly McKesson), and Lifepak 20.
- Additional Information: Orientation is customized based on previous experience and typically includes 1-2 days in each procedural area. The department provides surgical scrubs, and floating is limited to within the cath lab department (Coronary, Neuro IR, Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology, and Prep & Recovery).
