Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position located in La Plata, Maryland. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse patient population across all age ranges, from infants to geriatrics. The position offers an opportunity for experienced nurses to work nights on a 36/48-hour schedule with a variety of complex diagnoses.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30), minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Maryland or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Certification, CPI Certification, and at least 1 year of ER experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Emergency Department charting systems (preferably Epic), prior community hospital or trauma experience, and familiarity with complex diagnoses encountered in a busy ER setting.
• Additional Information: This position requires floating within the emergency department as needed, working every other weekend, and being scheduled for holiday shifts when applicable. The role supports a patient census averaging 130 with 47 beds, covering all age groups and diagnosis types, including trauma and critical care cases. Candidates must be comfortable managing diverse emergency conditions, performing procedures such as intubation and central line care, and responding to rapid changes in patient status. Onboarding requires labs within 72 hours of signing, with mandatory compliance documentation submitted 5 days prior to the start date.
