Description
Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) specializing in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Baltimore, Maryland. This position involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients with a focus on clinical assessments, monitoring, and interventions within a specialized inpatient setting. The role requires adherence to hospital protocols and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, 3x12-hour shifts from 0700 to 1930, occurring Friday through Sunday on a block schedule, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active Maryland or Compact RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support). A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, including at least 3-4 months of patient ratio experience, and proficiency with the Epic charting system.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in community hospital settings, LTAC, or trauma level II units.
- Certifications: CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification required; online versions accepted from the designated provider.
- Additional Information: The candidate may be required to float within the scope of the position, covering lower acuity units or sister locations as needed. All compliance documents must be completed within 5 days prior to start date, and labs are required within 72 hours of signing the contract.
