Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse in Encino, CA. This position involves providing specialized patient care to adult and geriatric oncology patients within a fast-paced healthcare environment. The role requires adherence to oncology-specific protocols and the ability to manage complex diagnoses and treatments.

Job Details

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license; 1-3 years of medical-surgical experience with a focus on oncology; BSN preferred;First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met; Certifications required include BLS (American Heart Association) and Oncology Certified Nurse (ONC) certification; Proven experience with charting systems such as Epic; Knowledge of administering chemotherapy, managing ports, and handling oncological and hematological diagnoses.
• Preferred Qualifications: Additional oncology certifications such as CPON, CPHON, or OCNS; experience with accessing/managing ports and administering blood products.
• Special Requirements: BSN required; all oncological and hematological diagnoses; all patient age groups (adults and geriatrics); experience with high patient census.
• Additional Information: The role involves managing complex chemotherapy regimens, supporting interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring proper charting and documentation in Epic. No on-call requirements; float rotation may be subject to change based on facility needs.
