Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Floor registered nurse is sought for a full-time position at a healthcare facility in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This role involves coordinating and implementing patient care specific to adult patient populations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care according to organizational standards. The nurse will provide clinical evaluations, develop individualized care plans, and foster a positive environment that emphasizes teamwork and patient satisfaction.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse license in the state of New Mexico or a compact state; BLS certification from AHA; at least 1 year of nursing experience; graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Medical Surgical (MS) nursing, strong communication skills appropriate to adult patient care, ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required to all Medical/Surgical departments under the organization
• Additional Information: The nurse will be responsible for initial patient assessments, plan of care development, timely interventions, patient and family education, discharge planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. They will also participate in unit growth initiatives and promote a positive, professional work environment.
