Description
Job Summary:
An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Burn nurse position is available in a healthcare facility located in Plano, Texas. This role involves providing specialized care in a Burn Intensive Care Unit with a focus on trauma and burn patient management. The position is designed for qualified RNs experienced in critical care, supporting a team dedicated to patient recovery and safety.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, at least 2 years of experience in ICU, Burn ICU, or Surgical ICU settings, and current certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
- Float: Float Rotation may be required to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any PCU unit.
- Additional Information: This role involves performing procedures such as wound care, codes, external ventricular drain placements, and multi-trauma protocol management. Candidates should exhibit strong communication and critical thinking skills, with a team-oriented personality that is not afraid to ask questions and is willing to assist others. The unit maintains a patient ratio of 2:1 for ICU and 4:1 for Progressive Care Unit, utilizing critical care equipment and electronic medical records via Meditech. Weekend and on-call shifts are required, with two weekends per pay period.
