Job Summary:
Psychiatric Unit Nurse in Iowa. This position involves delivering high-quality mental health care to diverse patient populations, including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, psychiatric, substance abuse, and detoxification. The role requires working at both the West Burlington and Fort Madison campuses, with scheduled shifts starting at 0700 hours in West Burlington and 0600 hours in Fort Madison. The nurse will participate in all phases of the nursing process, ensuring professional standards are maintained while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Job Details:

• Location: 1221 S GEAR AVE, West Burlington, IA 52655
• Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts; West Burlington shifts start at 0700, Fort Madison shifts start at 0600.
• Hours Per Week: 36 hours per week, 72 hours per pay period
• Experience: 0 years minimum required; previous Epic experience within the last 12 months required; previous mental health experience preferred.
• Schedule: Night shifts (specific shift hours as above).
• Required Qualifications: Certifications as applicable, relevant education or degrees, and ability to work at both locations as needed.
• Additional Information: The position may require occasional on-call duties during low census periods, with response time within one hour. Weekend and holiday rotations are required. Prior mental health experience is preferred, and familiarity with Epic electronic health records is necessary.
