Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Scranton, Pennsylvania. This position involves providing comprehensive emergency care in a busy emergency room setting. The role includes managing cardiac monitoring and interpretation, IV insertion, lab draws, medication administration, and assessment documentation. The RN will follow floating requirements as needed and work primarily during night shifts.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications, 0 years of experience, facility located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, within the United States
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in emergency room nursing preferred
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The RN will work in a unit with 21 beds, using Cerner electronic medical records system. The patient ratio varies depending on assignment, roughly 1:4 or 1:5. Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring and interpretation, IV insertion, medication administration, vital signs assessment, conduct point-of-care testing such as blood glucose, and maintaining accurate documentation. Scrub color required is navy blue.
