Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room First Assistant in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves supporting surgical teams in robotic urology and thoracic procedures, requiring familiarity with general robotic cases and related equipment. The position offers a dynamic environment focusing on teamwork within a busy surgical unit.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification in BLS, First Assist license; 2 years of experience in surgical assisting, with experience in robotic urology and thoracic cases; located in Louisville, Kentucky
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting all general robotic surgeries, including Urology and Thoracic cases; familiarity with robotic surgical equipment such as Davinci D5 and SP robot; ability to support within the department with management, RNs, and techs
- Support within the Department: Management, 1 RN and 1 Tech in each case
- Technology/Equipment: EMR system: Cernero, IV Pump: Plum ICU Medical, Med dispensing: Omnicello, unit-specific equipment including Bovie, tourniquet, harmonic, OR bed, stretcher, robotic systems (Davinci D5 required, SP robot preferred)
- float: Float rotation within the surgical department may be required
- Orientation (facility and unit): 2 weeks of orientation with Neo program
- Scrub Color: Ceil Blue, scrubs provided
- Parking: Free, badge access parking
