Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Gynecology Floor Nurse in Chamberlain, South Dakota. This position involves providing comprehensive care to patients within a busy medical-surgical nursing environment, with an emphasis on gynecology-focused patient needs. The role requires the ability to adapt to a dynamic hospital setting, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week, every other weekend and holiday. Three call shifts required within a 13-week contract.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification, minimum two years of nursing experience, experience in Med Surg and OB, familiarity with EPIC charting system, ability to work independently with up to five patients, and experience with cardiac and OB procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred.
• Additional Information: Float to over units/departments including OB and Med Surg. The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio typically between 3 to 4 to one, depending on census and acuity. Must comply with Sanford dress codenavy scrubs with no logos; white garments under uniform or lab coat acceptable. Training includes one day each of OB and Med Surg training and EPIC computer training.
