Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Spokane, Washington. This position involves caring for high-risk and low-risk ante-partum, intra-partum pregnant women, and immediate postpartum and newborn stabilization. The role requires providing exceptional patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Center with a focus on following AWHONN guidelines.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse; current licensure in BLS, NRP, and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM); skills in IUPC, FSE, IV starts, circulating C-sections; proficiency with fetal monitoring systems (GE/Centricity, Philips), EMR (EPIC), Baxter IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and telemetry monitoring.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with high-risk patients, familiarity with AWHONN guidelines, and resource support on unit including NICU and hospitalist services.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to postpartum and NICU units for level 2 newborns.
- Additional Information: Orientation typically involves 2-3 shifts based on competency and comfort level. Shift rotations include every other weekend, with on-call only during scheduled shifts if called off due to low census. Holiday staffing may be required. Scrub color is provided as dark blue, and free designated parking is available.
